Terms of Service

Last updated: June 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Lookup ("Lookup," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Lookup websites, applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, clicking to accept these Terms, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Lookup provides an AI-assisted interview and meeting copilot. The Service may, during sessions you initiate:

  • Capture and process audio from your microphone and, if you enable it, audio from shared meeting or system sources;
  • Generate transcripts and AI-assisted responses, research, and suggestions;
  • Process screen or tab content you choose to share;
  • Store session-related data so you can review, continue, or manage your work.

The Service is intended to support your own professional preparation and participation. Lookup does not guarantee any employment, interview, or business outcome.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You agree that registration information is accurate and kept up to date.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

When you register or sign in, you will be asked to read and accept these Terms. We record the time of your acceptance. If we materially update these Terms, we may require you to accept the updated version before continued use.

3. Session Recording and Transcription; Your Responsibilities

3.1 Your initiation of sessions

When you start, join, or continue a live session, you request that Lookup process session audio, transcripts, shared content, and related data to provide the Service. You acknowledge that session processing may include recording and storage of audio and derived content as described in our Privacy Policy.

3.2 Other participants

If your session involves other individuals (for example, interviewers, candidates, colleagues, or meeting attendees):

  • You are solely responsible for providing any notice and obtaining any consent required under applicable recording, wiretap, eavesdropping, and data-protection laws before using Lookup to record, transcribe, or otherwise process their communications or shared content.
  • Laws differ by country, state, and context. Some jurisdictions require all parties to consent to recording; others require only one party. When participants are in different locations, the strictest applicable rule may govern.
  • Lookup does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether a particular use is lawful.
  • In-product notices or indicators do not by themselves satisfy your legal obligations toward other participants.

If you have not obtained all required permissions, you must not use recording or transcription features for that conversation.

3.3 Screen and content sharing

You control whether to share your screen, a browser tab, or system audio. By sharing, you represent that you have the right to share that content and that other visible participants (if any) have been notified as required by law and by your employer or contracting party.

Do not use the Service to capture confidential, privileged, or personal information of others without proper authority.

4. User Content

"User Content" means information and materials you submit or generate through the Service, including resumes, prompts, transcripts, recordings, messages, and AI outputs you save.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Lookup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, display, and transmit User Content solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. This license ends when User Content is deleted from our active systems, subject to reasonable backup and legal retention periods.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and that your User Content does not violate law or third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to, and not to assist others to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law, regulation, or third-party rights;
  • Record, transcribe, or monitor individuals without required notice or consent;
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service;
  • Reverse engineer or scrape the Service except where legally permitted;
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or impersonate others;
  • Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
  • Use the Service in high-risk environments where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental damage.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or inappropriate for your situation.

  • AI outputs are for assistance only and are not legal, medical, financial, or professional career advice.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on or speaking them in a live conversation.
  • Lookup does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

7. Billing, Session Minutes, and Payments

Certain features consume session minutes (or equivalent usage credits shown in the Service). Live sessions typically meter usage over time as described in-product.

  • Prices, packages, and included usage are displayed at purchase and may change for future purchases.
  • Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once usage has been consumed or a billing period has started.
  • You authorize us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension of paid features.

Free or promotional minutes may expire or change as described in the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

Lookup and its licensors own the Service, software, branding, and documentation, excluding your User Content. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

Feedback you provide may be used by Lookup without restriction or compensation.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as provided in settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, create risk for Lookup or others, or where required by law.

Sections that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOOKUP DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT, INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT OR INTERVIEW SUCCESS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • LOOKUP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.
  • LOOKUP'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID LOOKUP FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lookup and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your User Content;
  • Your use of the Service;
  • Your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or
  • Your failure to obtain required notice or consent from other participants in recorded or transcribed conversations.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

To the extent permitted by law, you and Lookup agree that disputes will be resolved individually and not as a class action. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be brought in the courts located in the jurisdiction where Lookup is established, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access.

15. General

  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding the Service.
  • Changes: We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified as described in Section 2. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a business transfer.
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
